UNITED KINGDOM: Recyclable paperboard clip for bottles
posted Wednesday 31 March 2021
Graphic Packaging International launched Cap-It, a recyclable cardboard closure with neck rings for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or recycled (rPET) bottles.
The clip made from renewable materials is an alternative to conventional shrink packaging, increasing the overall recyclability of the packaging to 100%. “Graphic Packaging’s wide range of sustainable cardboard beverage solutions work well with multiple configurations of cans, glass bottles and PET bottles,” comments Roxanne McSpadden, beverage marketing manager at Graphic Packaging. Cap-It, currently marketed in Asia, uses a minimum of cardboard while improving shelf differentiation.
