Customizable liners on cans

Amcor pioneered Impressions technology with MGJ, a producer of PE-PP foam-based coatings and induction sealing solutions for caps. The idea is to personalize the liners, such as the coasters of bottle caps with QR codes with colorful logos.
The objective is to promote premium online experiences for the benefit of brands and consumers. The technology can thus redirect to brand sites, exclusive information or the recyclability of packaging. Several brands would thus seek to engage more directly with their consumers, including wine producers. In addition and since the liner is only accessible once the product is opened, this also makes it a relevant indicator of traceability and authentication.
