Toyochem launches new BPA-NI internal coatings for cans
posted Friday 30 April 2021
Toyochem Co, Ltd. launched a new line of Bisphenol A non-intent (BPA-NI) internal coatings for beverage bottles and cans under the new Lionova brand.
Based on acrylic emulsion and polyester resins, the new BPA-NI internal sprays and coil coatings are formulated to perform well, while meeting the health and food safety concerns associated with BPA. Toyochem has applied its unique polymer design technology to formulate can coatings that do not contain BPA and have a low free monomer content. Compliant with the US FDA (21 CFR175.300), Lionova systems offer excellent bendability, durability and flexibility for can manufacturers. With the rebranded Lionova lineup, Toyochem aims to expand presence in Europe and North America, where BPA non-intent solutions are in high demand.
