Greif-Velox is expanding its distribution network in Europe, forging a strategic partnership with Sopack. In this collaboration, the packaging machinery manufacturer and the Czech distribution and production company leverage synergies to position Greif-Velox’s innovations in the Czech, Slovak, Polish, and Hungarian markets.
As of now, Sopack, based in Pardubice, is distributing products such as the Greif-Velox pneumatic packer BVPV 4.40 and the vacuum packers from the « VeloVac » family. These machines enable clean and efficient bagging of ultra-light powders.
For Greif-Velox, this partnership marks another step in the company’s consistent internationalization strategy. Until now, the company has been serving customers worldwide in 89 countries. « With Sopack, we have found the perfect partner for market expansion in Eastern Europe, » says Sebastian Pohl, Director of Sales & Marketing at Greif-Velox. « The young, rapidly growing Czech company possesses the network and regional expertise we need to bring our innovative machine technology and know-how to the right customers. »
« By pooling our strengths, we can support our customers and offer them the best possible solutions for bag filling, » adds Tomas Zadina, owner of Sopack. « Greif-Velox has an excellent reputation worldwide, and we are proud to become their partner in the region. »
Founded in 2014 in the Czech Republic, Sopack specializes in stabilizing and securing goods or containers, as well as temperature regulation for pallet units and pallets in containers. It supplies customers in more than 20 countries worldwide. With Greif-Velox’s bagging systems, it expands its portfolio to provide customers with additional competitive advantages. « With Greif-Velox’s systems, especially the BVPV and VeloVac, we offer our customers solutions to flexibly shape their production processes, » says Karel Sodomka, CEO of Sopack. « Bagging should never be their bottleneck but rather a technological innovation that reliably supports and complements the entire production process. »
Greif-Velox’s pneumatic packer BVPV 4.40 can be flexibly adapted to individual production requirements, capable of bagging from 4 to 40 kilograms. Its performance reaches up to 400 bags per hour and can be further enhanced with additional nozzles, enabling a throughput of up to 1,600 bags per hour.
The VeloVac family of vacuum packers ensures dust-free, clean, and efficient bagging of ultra-light powders like carbon black or silica. Users can save up to 75% of storage and logistics costs, as well as significant cleaning expenses.
